What Is A Hemorrhoid? Defining Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are also known as hemroids, hemorrhoid, hemerroids, hemorrhoids, haemorrhoids and piles. At least four-fifths of North America and Europe adults experience hemorrhoids at a time in their lives. This is really a widespread problem.

Before we define hemorrhoids, they can be extremely painful and unpleasant for many people but the good thing is that they can be easily treated and also avoided not to back again. As the professional health care say that you must treat them as soon as they appear.

You are also supposed to suffer from hemorrhoids the older you are, however, it doesn't mean that children and young people are not supposed to suffer from them or don't get them.

Women are most likely to get them when they are pregnant, that's why there is a strong relationship between pregnancy and hemorrhoids but the hemorrhoids are common among men than women anyway.

We can define hemorrhoids as they are inflamed or swollen in the veins in the rectum which called internal hemorrhoids or around the anus to be external hemorrhoids.

In other words, we can define hemorrhoids as they are enlarged veins lower rectum or in the anus or around it that can cause long-lasting bleeding, discomfort and be excruciatingly painful. However, nowadays there are many ways to treat hemorrhoids at home or using one of the effective medical treatments. You can also know more information about what are hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids most certainly don't have to be for life, and answering the question are hemorrhoids permanent or not depends on your habits and lifestyle. While some changing of your routine can avoid getting hemorrhoids from now and on.

As we mentioned before, hemorrhoids or piles can be divided into two main kinds, internal hemorrhoids and external hemorrhoids. The external kind lie outside the anal opening while the internal lie lower rectum, beneath the rectum or anal opening or even inside the anus. You may have also the two kinds of hemorrhoids at the same time.

Hemorrhoids Causes:

Nobody knows why hemorrhoids develop, but there are many reasons that can help hemorrhoids to appear like:

Hemorrhoids during pregnancy, chronic constipation and chronic diarrhea, aging, sitting for long times and periods on a chair or even on the toilet, obesity, straining to move the stool, genetics, heavy lifting and anal sex.

Hemorrhoids Symptoms:

Internal hemorrhoids symptoms are different from external symptoms, as external small hemorrhoids don't produce symptoms usually while the larger hemorrhoids can be painful and interface with cleaning the anal area after every bowl movement. They may called thrombosed hemorrhoid if there is a blood clot in an external hemorrhoid.

Internal hemorrhoids symptoms contain a bright red blood on one's feces or toilet paper or in the toilet bowl. Hemorrhoids inside the anus are almost painful. While there are enternal hemorrhoids that may appear when using the toilet and then move back again into the anal canal.

Notice: because colorectal cancer and other digestive system diseases can cause anal bleeding and other hemorrhoid-like symptoms, people should always consult a doctor when those symptoms occur. However, Hemorrhoids do not cause cancer and are rarely dangerous or life threatening. Most clear up after a few days without professional medical treatment.
